Steph & Michael - Tunnels Beaches - Devon

Why did you choose Yeti?

He's about a foot taller than anyone we know so we know he'll get good aerial shots ;) No, Vince is clearly the very best in the business, you can see that from a 30 second scroll through his instagram. We met 3 photographers and both of us said straight away after the meeting Vince (the third of the three) that he's the one we want. That plus our amazing engagement shoot he done for us in Salcombe solidified that it was the best decision we'd made.

You guys…what do you do?…how do you spend your days?

Steph is a Financial Regulator and Michael works in Medical Diagnostics. Together they love Festivals, Gigs, Road Trips, The Beach, Holidays, Exploring and last minute plans (always the best!) Ollie (our 4.5 year old son) takes up the most room in our hearts and has been dragged to all of the above since birth - he's our very best mate.

The proposal. Tell me everything. (All the gushy details!)

In February 2017, we booked a babymoon (at 6.5 months pregnant) to Marrakech. We were only going for 4 nights so just went with cabin cases and upon arrival at security with my massive bump and very heavy case I noticed I'd been abandoned and had to ask a complete stranger to help me get my case up on to the belt. A few words were exchanged once we sat down in Weatherspoons but I later found out the reason for my abandonment was because the ring was in Michael's case! Fast forward 48 hours and just before we left for dinner, Michael proposed in our room (he knows I'd have hated anything public). We then went to the most gorgeous rooftop restaurant and ate everything in sight!

Tunnels Beaches…..Why this place above any where else?

We viewed loads of venues in Kent that we loved but we'd been to a few weddings in Italy, France, Devon, Cornwall and just loved the vibe of everyone being on holiday for 3 days! We were visiting my Aunt in St Austell and someone had mentioned Tunnels to us so we decided to take a detour on the way home to visit. We absolutely loved it and whilst bombing down the A303 we called back and paid the deposit there and then!

What experience do you want to give your guests?

Our friends are huge party animals (and our family) so we just want to spoil them with good food, good drink and good music. None of them take life too seriously and we'll barely be out of the ceremony before someone has ordered a round of shots! We just want everyone to leave that night and go wow... what a wedding!
