Steph & Chris - Sandy Cove - North Devon

Tell us more about you guys!

We met at school in year 7 and we were in the same form class through school and college. We were close friends all through school but got more serious in year 10/11 when we used to go home from school and chat on MSN. We used to meet up at the local park which was in between our houses. We bought our first house in 2020 and live at home with our cat, Smudge. Chris loves to cook and Steph loves to clean! Chris is a Chelsea fan, Steph is into F1 and supports McLaren. Chris loves Pokemon and Dragon Ball Z, Steph loves Harry Potter and Disney.

Sandy Cove…..Why this place above any where else?

We had originally come down to Ilfracombe pretty confident we would be booking Tunnels beaches. We booked to view the Sandy Cove Hotel as we were in the area but as soon as we stood behind the top table and saw that view we were sold! We also felt the team were incredible, very welcoming and had made a lot of effort to set the whole venue up as if it was a wedding that day. Our ideal wedding would have been abroad but due to covid we decided to create a destination wedding in the UK.

You guys…what do you do?…how do you spend your days?

Family is very important to us and we love spending time with them. We also love to travel, Chris is interested in history and we both like good food. Steph was a Dental Nurse for 6 years and now is a Practice Manager of a Dental practice. Chris works in software testing for an aviation company but his passion is music production. Chris plays guitar and piano and has a studio at home where he produces his own music.

The proposal. Tell me everything. (All the gushy details!)

We went Scotland in August 2021, we flew into Inverness hired a car and drove down through the highlands to Fort William where we stayed in a log cabin. Chris took me to Glenfinnan viaduct which I was very excited about as a Harry Potter fanatic, we saw the steam train go over the viaduct from the view point and then walked under the viaduct over to the other side. Like the dork I am I was pretending to cast spells with a twig (yes I am that cool 🤣) when I turned around Chris was down on one knee and popped the question!

What experience do you want to give your guests?

A good party, we want everyone to have a really fun time.

Why did you pick Yeti?

We were looking for someone who could create a video for us that was light, candid, natural and not too cheesy. When we found Yeti's website and clip examples we felt they could create this for us. Your videos are modern and capture the fun from the day and this really stood out to us. We also really liked your website and from your description we feel we will get on very well.
